My Children's Books

I love books and I love reading! One of my favorite Children's Hospital Los Angeles Jr Ambassador Events is the Annual ACTION DAY fundraiser where we get to raise money for the hospital on our own. Some of the Jr Ambassadors do lemonade stands, bake sales, handmade earrings, bracelets or painted denim to give all proceeds of the sales of their items to CHLA.

I decided to write my own Children's Books as my "Action" to make a difference in the lives of the families at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. My Non Fiction book, The Girl on the Subway, as well as my Fiction "Pickles Series," that includes, The Fickle Cat Called Pickles, The Fickle Cat Called Pickles Plans a Party,

DJ Deekaboy Does the Doobee Dance and my latest book, Spike Has To Have Surgery are available for purchase year round to support CHLA.

All proceeds from my books go to Children's Hospital Los Angeles Literally Healing Program.

The Girl on the Subway is the first book written by Children's Hospital Los Angeles Jr Ambassador, Shira Josephson. She joined the Children's Hospital Los Angeles Jr Ambassador Program when she was seven years old and created a YouTube channel called, Shira's Story Corner, as a way to read to the children who are too sick to have visitors.

The Girl on the Subway is the Non Fiction story of Shira's trip to New York City where she met a girl on the subway. She has written four books, including her fictional "Pickles Series" of books that include, The Fickle Cat Called Pickles, The Fickle Cat Called Pickles Plans a Party!, and her latest book, DJ Deekaboy Does the Doobee Dance.

All proceeds go to Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
